Well I’ve spent the last few hours trying out Release Candidate 1 of Microsoft’s Windows Vista, the successor to Windows XP. I like it - quite a bit, I must say. The changes aren’t too dramatic, but the experience just seems better now. After fiddling around with everything I could readily find, I ended up going right back to an old favorite though. And I must say that I’m glad to see that it hasn’t changed much at all through the seemingly dozens of years of its existence:
